Course Details
At OC Dental Academy, our 8-Hour Dental Infection Control course is a California Dental Board Approved course that will fulfill the requirements for an unlicensed dental assistant and requirements for your RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) application. The course will provide students with basic concepts, step-by-step procedures, and the current regulatory aspects related to infection control and office safety. Our Dental Infection Control course consists of 4 hours of online learning and 4 hours of clinical instruction. At the end of our course, you will have your 8-Hour Infection Control Certification. This course is non-refundable.

Course Requirements
The following requirements are necessary to enroll in the 8-Hour Infection Control Course offered by OC Dental Academy:
Person must speak English
Student must wear scrubs
Student must have hair pulled back
Student must wear closed toes footwear
Effective January 1, 2010, The Dental Board of California, under B&P Section 1750, requires each unlicensed dental assistant under a dentist’s continuous employment for 120 days or more, and within a year of the date of employment, to complete a Dental Board- approved course in infection control, with a minimum length of 8 hours, and a Dental Board-approved course in the California Dental Practice Act.
